Africa

An elephant lay peacefully infront of the red sun.
It was half asleep dreaming about white clouds sailing pass the sky, green grass and water running under the leaves of akasia.
Suddenly it´s dream was disturbed. It sensed something in the air. Brown dust rose from the brown earth. The earth under it started to rumble. The elephant opened its eyes. It waved its ears and raised its trunk. Seven antelopes ran in the grass near by. The fear was in them all. The youngest of them was left behind. The lions had already set their eyes on it. It was still too weak to run. Soon the lions reached it. The burned off grass turned to red and the rest of the antelopes ran away scared.
The savannah was guiet.
The elephant lay down again. It closed its eyes and sniff the brown smell, the smell of Africa.
The sweat wiped trought and calmed the savannah to sleep.
